Dunamis Events, an event planning and styling company established in 2000 in the business of adding magic to events, is set to celebrate 25 years of creating magic at events with a documentary screening to celebrate the Dunamis story and its founder’s journey on 27th August 2025.

The strictly by invite event, which will be holding at a Cinema on the Mainland,  will attract event professionals, premium clients, and very important personalities across the country.

Dunamis Events at 25 is a powerful testament to 25 years of relentless building, even when giving up felt like the easier option. It’s 25 years of courageously walking through fire and emerging stronger than ever. It’s 25 years of tears transformed into inspiring testimonies. DUNAMIS @25 is more than just a celebration — it stands as a bold declaration of grace, grit, and unwavering faithfulness from God.

About the CEO

Olufunbi Akinyosoye is a seasoned professional in the events industry with over 24 years of experience, backed by a solid educational foundation in Marine Biology from the University of Lagos. She further honed her entrepreneurial skills at the prestigious Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Lagos Business School and the UK-affiliated Park Royal Finishing School.

Her career is marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence, demonstrated through extensive training in Project Management, Customer Service, and Human Relations, both domestically and internationally, including her participation in the IMEX Conference in Las Vegas, USA., Jeff Leatham Floral expo, Nebo Decor Russia Floral Diploma in Accra Ghana and the Lagos Business School Mastering Event Management Program to mention but a few.

Olufunbi’s dedication to professional growth is evident in her engagement with leading training programs and experts, such as Tara Fela-Durotoye’s series (TFD), Bankole Williams Career Bootcamp, Poise Insider Network (PIN), Fate Foundation, Coach Steve Harris, and Women in Business (WIMBIZ). Through her training school, she has imparted her knowledge to over 300 entrepreneurs and continues to mentor and coach emerging talents in the events sector.

Her exceptional contributions to the industry have earned her numerous awards, including the Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) Event Company of the Year. Honours Roll of Passion & Poise, and Entrepreneur Amazon of the Year, among others. These accolades reflect her pursuit of excellence and her role as a role model in the industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, Olufunbi is deeply committed to humanitarian work. She has played a pivotal role in managing the Ijora-Badiya Feed 5,000 project in collaboration with Restructure Africa and serves on the Founding Advisory Board for the Feed a Mouth Initiative, an NGO.

Additionally, she is an active founding member of the Association of Professional Party Planners & Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN), where she currently sits on the board, having served meritoriously for 4 years, first as the Vice President and recently, as the National President of the prestigious association.

Olufunbi is a devoted individual who balances her successful career with a strong commitment toher family and community, all while upholding her core values. She is blessed with children and herself a daughter of God.
