In a powerful display of community spirit and corporate social responsibility, the Association of Professional Food Service Providers of Nigeria (APFSPN) recently concluded its state-wide ‘Fifehanmi’ (Show Me Love) outreach. The initiative saw the association hitting the streets of Lagos to provide food support and appreciation packages to the dedicated men and women in uniform who keep the city running.
Themed “With Love & Compassion – During Valentine’s, Lent & Ramadan,” the project was timed to coincide with a season of reflection and giving. Orchestrated by the APFSPN Executive Committee under the leadership of President Mr. Tobi Fletcher (the visionary behind Ofada Boy), the outreach was meticulously executed by a specialized “Fifehanmi” committee. This team was chaired by Hajia Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf (La Dots Partycity), who is also the association’s treasurer, ensuring a seamless state-wide rollout. Other members of the committee included Adeyemi Adetutu (Food and Fruits), Temi Adelana, Olawunmi Onyemem (Tummy’s Delite), Adedayo Omoseyin (Bankress Party World), and Oyeronke Adesanya (Blossom_Occasions).
The impact of the outreach was amplified by an impressive line-up of corporate heavyweights. With the backing of sponsors like UAC Foods, Hungree App, Golden Penny, Farm Junction, GB Foods, and Nigerian Breweries, APFSPN distributed essential food items and refreshments, including: rice, spaghetti, noodles, cereals, garri, tomato paste, seasonings, peanuts, snacks, and malt drinks.
The outreach left no stone unturned, reaching key hubs across Lagos, including Ikeja, Alausa, Surulere, Lekki, Ikoyi, Agege, Ogudu, Ikorodu, and Egbeda, among others. The beneficiaries—comprising officers from LASTMA, LAWMA, the Nigeria Police Force, Civil Defence, FRSC, and VIO—were visibly moved by the gesture. For many field personnel working long hours under the sun, the “Show Me Love” packages were a significant morale booster and a rare moment of public recognition.
Reflecting on the success of the exercise, APFSPN Public Relations Officer Titilola Theresa Williams (CEO, Exquisite Tastyfingers Food and Event) noted that the initiative has further solidified the association’s bond with the community.
President Tobi Fletcher extended his deepest gratitude to all sponsors, collaborators, and association members who turned this vision into a reality. He reaffirmed that APFSPN remains steadfast in its mission to blend professional excellence with humanitarian interventions, ensuring that those who serve society daily feel the warmth and appreciation they deserve.
The Fifehanmi Love Outreach continues to serve as a beacon of the association’s commitment to “Service with Compassion,” ensuring that those who serve the public are themselves seen and supported during these holy and festive seasons.
